BHES specializes in conducting rigorous mixed-methods studies, integrating both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Our work includes focus groups and interviews with behavioral health clients, staff, and administrators. We implement qualitative data analysis using a grounded theory approach to identify key themes. Additionally, BHES has extensive experience designing and implementing quasi-experimental studies to evaluate interventions and assess outcomes in real-world settings.

Our team comprises experienced evaluators, epidemiologists, and project managers with diverse backgrounds supporting nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and service providers. Collectively, they bring deep expertise in data collection, performance management, and advanced statistical analysis, enabling BHES to generate meaningful insights, strengthen programs, and help communities translate data into actionable strategies.

As an experienced oral historian and cultural anthropologist, Rikke brings a distinctive perspective to mixed-methods research. She incorporates oral history and storytelling techniques to capture individual experiences in depth while contextualizing these narratives within larger social, organizational, and systemic structures. This approach not only highlights personal experiences but also illuminates broader patterns and influences, enriching the interpretation of both qualitative and quantitative findings.
