We design and conduct program evaluations to help organizations understand how their programs are working and where they can improve. Using mixed-methods approaches, we combine quantitative data with qualitative insights from multiple sources to build a clear picture of program outcomes and impact. We believe that engaging communities throughout the evaluation process - from planning to data collection and analysis - is essential for understanding the real experiences, nuances, and complexities 

We developed the SCALE framework for large-scale evaluations that require standardized data collection across multiple sites or partners while still telling a cohesive story. Drawing on our experience with complex initiatives, the framework highlights the key elements that support successful and consistent data collection. SCALE standardizes core metrics across many entities while also allowing for flexibility and adjustments to reflect different contexts and implementation realities.

We believe that routine outcomes monitoring (ROM) has the power to transform behavioral health services for children, youth, and families. At BHES, we’re passionate about helping organizations make this part of everyday practice. We provide Feedback-Informed Treatment (FIT) training, implementation support, and ongoing coaching to help teams use client feedback and data to strengthen relationships, improve outcomes, and ensure services truly meet the needs of those they serve.

We partner with eCenter Research to deliver high-quality, customized data solutions. Together, we work closely with organizations to design tailored data collection strategies, create intuitive visualizations, and produce clear, actionable reports. Our collaborative approach ensures that the data not only captures program performance but also tells a meaningful story that supports decision-making, highlights successes, and identifies opportunities for improvement.

We help organizations track performance and use data to drive continuous quality improvement (CQI). Our team includes members with hands-on experience working in behavioral health organizations, as well as former QI managers and performance measurement staff, bringing practical knowledge of what works on the ground. We partner with programs to design monitoring systems, identify meaningful metrics, and implement CQI processes that turn data into actionable findings, supporting better outcomes for children, youth, and families.

BHES brings over a decade of experience in nonprofit strategy and evaluation to help organizations strengthen operations and evaluation capacity. Our team has guided nonprofits through moments of change whether launching new revenue models, aligning teams around strategic plans, or building data systems that clearly demonstrate impact. 

BHES performs structured needs assessments to help organizations understand community priorities, service gaps, and emerging challenges. Through stakeholder engagement, data analysis, and environmental scans, we provide actionable recommendations that guide program development and resource allocation.
